Winter has arrived!

Hello everyone.

Hope you are having an amazing time. 😘

So finally winter has arrived! Again Winter is going to give us cracked heel, chapped lips, dry hands and dull, rough skin!

I am here with my DIY face pack to make your life smooth and easy.

Let’s Begin…

I tried to combine very simple and easily available ingredients to make this pack.

Oats: 2 tblspoon

Curd: 1 tblspoon

Lemon juice: 1 teaspoon

Vitamin E oil: 1/2 teaspoon

Take a glass bowl and mix all the ingredients together.

Do not add water, mix all the ingredients and make a thick paste. Apply it evenly on all over your face and don’t neclect the neck also.

Oats is used as natural scrubber. Curd will give you the soft, moisturized base. Lemon juice is know for removing tan or any other spots on your face. Vitamin E oil will give you the extra glow and nourishment.

Now you can rest because you are winter ready.

Festive GRWM..

Hi, hope you all are doing great.

I’m back again! Somehow I managed time to post a blog on GRWM. Hope you will like it. 😊

I was thinking to post this blog before Diwali but couldn’t manage time to post it. 😟

For festival  I choose one of my favorite color, i.e red. This is going to be a simple and quick blog.

Let’s Begin…

This is how I was looking right after finishing my makeup.

  • Face

Foundation: Loreal Infallible, shade Ambre.

Face powder: Loreal Mat Magique.

Concealer: L.A.Girl pro HD concealer, and NYX Sculpt & Highlight face duo.

  • Eyes

Eyeshadow: Here I played the trick! I applied Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Mousse Lip and Check Color in shade Rose Touch as the base color!

To darken the outer corner I used the color brown and then hint of black from MUA Eyeshadow Palette- Solstice.

Eyeliner: Maybelline black gel liner.

Lashes: Ardell Natural Strip Lashes, number 105.

  • Cheeks

Blush: Maybelline Color Show Blush, shade Creamy Cinnamon.

Highlighter: Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Highlighter, shade Brick Rose Gold. I am in love with this pallet.

  • Lips

One and only MAC, Ruby Woo. I highlighted the centre part my lips with a shimmer eyeshadow!

My Makeup is done!

I chose a Red middle slit net kurti which I bought from Pantaloons,  and paired with a black stiletto.

The earrings is from a brand named Zaveri pearls.

Hope you like this blog. Stay blessed and always be happy. 😊

Festive look is here!!

Hope you all are doing well.

I am so excited! Can’t keep calm because festival is knocking at the door! Being a bengali Durga puja is one of the biggest, most colorful, most joyous festival of Westbengal. Ask any bengali about Durga pujo she/he can give you a lecture for a whole day!! 😜

Same way Navratri is celebrated among the other parts of India. I am not going to discuss which is the greatest one but I am going to share a series of festive look with you.

Day 1:

For the 1st day of Durga puja/ Navaratri I am going to keep it simple and short. We all will be tired of our work so for the 1st day a quick and simple makeover will be great.

I will be wearing a red top paired with a black jeans. Accompanied by a platform heel and a small earrings.

Let’s Begin.

*Wash your face with your favorite facewash and then apply a toner.

*I skipped the moisturizing part because it is going to be hot and humid weather throughout the puja. You can apply a gel sunscreen.

* Apply a primer, my current favorite is Nivea men after shave balm! Yes, you heard it right. This after shave balm works as great as a primer.

*Always remember that you are going to sweat a lot. So choose your base wisely. I will suggest to go minimal with the base. Also right after office no one wants to spend hours in front of the mirror.

Weapons we are going to need

Creating the base

– I have applied nyx matte but not flat foundation. This is a water based foundation, so I found it perfect for the light base. Leave the eye area then blend the foundation very well.

– I  am going to apply a concealer next, i am using l.a.girl concealer right under my eye and the places where I want to color correct.

– Lock the base with a face power. I have been using LOREAL matte face power for a long time. I love this product because this is kind of sweat proof, and lock the base for a long time, really long time.

Moving to the eyes

– I am going to do a very quick and easy eye makeup. I am using  two colors from makeup revolution pallet.

– Quickly apply any light brown color all over your eyelid. Blend it well.

– Now take a dark brown color to darken the outer corner of your eyes. Slowly build the color.

– Select a light shimmer shadow to highlight the inner corner of your eyes. Done! We are done!

Applying the eyeliner

-As the eyeshadow base is really simple so I have done a winged liner.

– After drawing the wing, I applied very small amount of brown shadow to the lower lash line.

– Take a white eye pencil and line the lower water line. This is the game changer of this look.

– Complete your eye makeup with lots of mascara.

– Do not forget about eyebrows girl! Draw a outline and fill the gap with the color close to your natural brow shade.

Concentrate on lips

– I have kept my eye makeup minimal so a dark shade of lipstick will draw the all attention.

– I have applied Lakme 9-5 matte mouse lipand cheeck color, shade rose touch

Blush on
I applied a nude Colored blush from Maybelline. Without a highlighter your makeup cannot be complete. I wish I could explain how much I love my Makeup revolution highlighter pallet!

Game of hair!

– I like to keep my hair  tidy and away from my face. You can simply make a top knot and leave the remaining hair open. You can tie your hair in a ponytail also. That depends completely on you.

* Before wearing your dress make sure there is no crease. If needed you can iron your dress too. The final look is here.

  • Top- Rare
  • Jeans- Bare denim
  • Shoe- Catwalk
  • Earrings-  Mast and harbour

Travel look book

Hi , hope you all are doing well. 🤗

Few months back I visited Uttarakhand with my family and friends. It was a lovely trip. We enjoyed, we explored, more over we had a lot of fun. I thought to share the basic look book. While traveling we need to pack our bag smartly so that we only carry the basic and essential goods. Don’t dump your bag with unnecessary stuffs. Repeating your shoes, bags, and jeans will save the space too. Let’s begin..

  • This picture was taken at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose international airport. We were aboout to board on the flight to Delhi.

I am wearing a jumpsuit from Biba and a basic strappy sandle. I think jumpsuits are really comfortable for traveling purpose.

    • After reaching Delhi we had our lunch, took some rest then went for street shopping.

As you can see I just applied a lipstick and some mascara that’s all. Here also I am wearing the same jumpsuit.

    Next day

    • This picture was taken at Kathgodam rail station. That is the point where you have to get down to take a cab to reach Kausani, the very first destination of this trip.

I am just wearing a simple top with a palazzo. I got both of them from Pantaloons.

    Next day

    •  This picture was taken at a temple named Baijnath.

I am wearing a blue cold shoulder top with a jeans. A neckpiece and a sunglass is complimenting the look.

    Next day

    • A random click at a random place!

I am wearing the same jeans with a bell sleeve top from Tokio Talkies. For my shoe I had opted for blue moccasins which is a must buy for traveling.

    Next day

This is called ‘a picture with a view’! 😁

A plain black jeans and a layered top. Repeating the same shoe for the next day also.

no earrings, only a neckpiece which is made by me! And a sunglass.

What else you need to look good!!

    Next day

Regarding my makeup I applied a BB cream, a bright red lips, lots of mascara and eyeliner. Simple and short that is the trick.

I bought this top from myntra online shopping site and the brand name is Dressberry. You can see the minimul accessories too.

    Next day

A top from Tokio Talkies and a jeans from the same brand. To glam up the outfit I am wearing a cat’s eye sunglass and a forever 21 neckpiece.

    Next day

    • Well, let me clarify that, this hat and the kimono shrug I brought from Nainital. This  is the famous bhutia market of Nainital.

Wearing a floral cold shoulder top, a kimono shrug, and a basic blue jeans from Tokio Talkies.

    Next day

    • This was taken at Jim Corbet national Park.

Wearing a blue floral top and obviously a jeans. No accessories just the hat and bright pink lipstick. I am ready for the Jeep Safari!

    Returning home

The trip is finally over. We had an amazing time all together. It’s time to say goodbye to all.

    I don’t follow trends blindly. I wear whatever I feel like. 😊

    All about eyebrows

Hi! Hope you all are doing well.  😎    Today we will talk about the most important but the underrated feature of our face.
Eyebrows, we are going to talk about the eyebrows. I know many of us don’t know what to do with the eyebrows! We just pluck our brows once in a while and we think it is more than enough. No darling that’s not enough.

    • Plucking eyebrows is important but not as important as highlighting your eyebrows.

You must be thinking “highlighting eyebrows” what does it mean. Let me explain, when we get ready we do makeup, we do apply eyeshadows, eyeliners,  lipsticks, blush bla bla bla. But have you ever noticed that an undefined eyebrow makes you look odd? If not then you must know how to define your eyebrows.

The weapons we are going to need!

    a) Here I have two eyebrow pencils, one from Maybelline and other from Miss Claire. b) One angular brush and one eyebrow defining brush. ( There is a black Eyeshadow from Deborah, I am going to disclose the use of that shadow later)

*You can use products of any brand whichever suits you. I have shown mine.

    OPTION 1

Brushing the eyebrow:    start with brushing your brows downward and then upward. This step will help you to know the actual shape of your eyebrows.

    • Making the outline: we are going to draw 3 tiny lines with the eyebrow pencil. So that we can get an idea of the places we need to fill with the pencil.

Here you can see I have marked 3 points, at the beginning, at the middle, and at the end.

That’s all. Your job is done folks.

    • Fill the eyebrow: now take a brush, I have used the angular brush. Blend the lines which we have drawn earlier.

This is how your eyebrows should look after blending. As I like the soft and everyday kind of look, so for me this finish is just perfect.

    OPTION 2

I am going to use the Maybelline Brow Duo Shaper to define my brows.

    • Make an outline: exactly like before draw three tiny lines where you want your brows to be more thick.

Now with the other end fill the brows evenly. The finished look is given below.

    #The blunder#

Here you will get know the use of black Eyeshadow. Actually we shouldn’t use anything black in color to define our brows. If you use the color black then the output will look something like this.

You can see how awful my eyebrows are looking! We all want a natual looking eyebrows right? Black is making the look very unnatural and very harsh. Better option is to use a dark brown or even a light brown color.

*Please excuse my no makeup, bare face! 😁

Hope you like the content. And hope your everyday’s struggle is  much more sorted now. 😘😍

Taking care of the neglected parts of body.

Hi everyone.. hope you all are doing well.

Finally monsoon has arrived. Grab your tea or coffee and let’s talk.
I am going to discuss something very different from skin and hair care. What if we talk about the most neglected parts of our body?
If I tell you, the underarms, the elbows, the knees are the most neglected parts of our body ; do you agree with me?
Without any doubt we all wash our face regularly, we scrub,we moisturize, we apply different packs and what not.
Do you follow the exact same process for your underarms? Or for knees? If not. Then start doing it as soon as possible.
I’m here to help you out.

    #Taking care of the underarms
Just like the way we wash our face with a face wash; we all need to wash our underarms with a body wash or you can use a face wash. The skin of underarms are usually thinner than the other parts of our body.

    • Another most important thing to remember is don’t use any soap for your underarms. Do not. Because some of us is already suffering from dark underarms, do not make it worst by applying a harsh soap.
    • Do not use any hair removal cream girls. Yes, you heard it right. Those are not good for skin and may cause darkness.
    • Instead of hair removal cream use a razor. According to me the best option is waxing. Waxing reduces the darkness and gives a silky smooth skin. Here I want to add one more point that is try to scrub the area before waxing. By doing so you will get the best result.
    •  Everyday whenever you take bath wash your underarms thoroughly.
    • After every two days scrub your underarms. You can make your own scrub (DIY scrub is given below) or you can buy a body scrub. My own favorite is the sugar scrub.

    1. Take 2tbl spoon of milk

    2. Mix 2tbl spoon of sugar

    3. Add a pinch of turmeric powder.

Wait for a while until the paste becomes little thick.
    Apply evenly on your underarms.

    • Toning is optional but I am obsessed with the toners.
    • Lastly apply a body milk or a body cream.
    • One additional super-pack for lightening the skin tone of underarms.
    DIY charcoal pack

1.Take 1/2tbls spoon of activated charcoal powder.

    2. Add 1tbl spoon of honey, here i am using organic honey for this pack.

3 Mix well and apply. Leave till the pack gets dry then wash it off with water.

    #Taking care of your elbows/knees
We are going to follow almost the same procedure for our elbows and knees..

    • Every time while bathing wash your knees and elbows with a loofah. Loofah will help to clean the dirt.
    • Unlike the underarms, the skin of elbows and knees are thick and tends to be dark quite often.
    • Scrubbing is as important as cleaning. Use the same body scrub for your knees/elbows which you are going to use for your underarms.
    • Do not forget to moisturize your knees as well as elbows.

I’m going to show you an additional step for dark knees/elbows. For betterment you can try this.

    1. You need some sugar, one lemon, one tomato for this scrub.

    2. Cut a lemon into halves.

    3.  As shown in the picture take some sugar and rub the lemon onto the effected area.

    4. Wash it off with water, and directly rub a tomato slice to finish the whole procedure.

Hopefully now you can live a happy and peaceful life!

    CTM routine

Hi! Hope you all are doing well!💓

Who does not want a flawless skin, shiny checks, pink lips and bright eyes? who?

Well we can get all of the above using right concealer, highlighter and with a false eyelash, but is that a permanent solution? No, right.

So, can’t we have a healthy routine for our skin;a very simple basic routine. let me tell you the simplest way to get glowing healthy skin and believe me girls I have been following this routine for 8years now.

    1. cleansing (C) 2. toning (T) 3. moisturizing (M)

Follow this CTM routine for 4 times a week and for the remaining 3 days we will follow CSTM rule!!

    1. cleansing (C) 2. scrubbing (S) 3. toning (T) 4. moisturizing (M).

    • CLEANSING: For cleansing you need to understand your skin type (dry/combination/oily)  and what your skin need (glow/acne free/pimple free/tan removal/brightness). Depending upon the above criteria first select a cleanser or face wash.

** I believe in quality product not on the costly product!!😉

    My recommendations are –

Himalaya Neem face wash, 150 ml, INR 140/-

Biotique Bio Neem face wash,150 ml, INR 108/-

Neutrogena Deep Clean, 200ml, INR 379/-

    • SCRUBBING: Always, Always , Always use a gentle scrub for all skin type. Do not use any rough scrub on your face ever. If you have mistakenly bought a rough, very dry scrub use it on your body not on your face.

A: Neutrogena  Deep Clean scrub, 4.2 ounce , INR 823/-

    B: Biotique Scrub, 100ml, INR 119/-

    C: Lotus Scrub, 80 gm, INR 112/-

D: Aroma Magic Scrub, 100 ml, INR 160/-

    • TONER: What can i say about toner, without toner I’m nothing. I just can’t explain how important this step is. Toner is the product which decides whether you are going to have good, pimple free clear skin/ rough, dirty, bad skin. You just can not miss  toner for a single day.

Now the products I have been using for long time are Oriflame aloe vera toner and alternately            tea tree toner from the same brand.

Oriflame Aloe vera / Tea tree toner: 150ml, INR 329/-

    • MOISTURIZER: Everyone wants a baby soft, smooth skin. Remember if you forget to moisturize your skin then  nothing you can change. In my case I have used many kind of moisturizer but the consistent one is Lotus cocoa moisturizer.

In case of moisturizing our skin oils play a huge part. So, once in week try to use a mixed oil

    deep cleaning technique.

That is all for today. Thank you for reading my blog. Stay tuned for more posts. 👩❤
